EO/GIS and Mapping

EO and mapping is used to select “a priori” the best site to deploy the lab and to monitor the site situation. We can update geographical data, use structured data to improve the knowledge of the disease and the knowledge of the evolution of the disease on a geographical point of view. These maps can for example be marked with all the sources and streams in a region where a lab is deployed, if the suspected disease is related with water propagation. Using maps of buildings in the area can be interesting to know where to search for potential victims of another disease when a red zone is defined. Using maps of moves of animals can be used when related to animals which could be carrying or suffering from a disease.

The main functionalities are:

  • Delivery of site suitability analysis/evaluation reports.

  • Integration of interactive maps in GML platform.

  • (near-)real-time visualization on the interactive maps of sample/alerts data collected in the field with the GML mobile application.

  • Access to roadmap/satellite/aerial data (spatial resolution min. around 1m) through the interactive maps in the GML platform.

  • Access to custom layers (e.g. water bodies, points of interest) through the interactive maps in the GML platform;

  • Edit geographic layers through the interactive maps in the GML platform.

  • Export geographic layers from the interactive maps in the GML platform.

  • (near-)real-time integration of UAS data in the interactive maps in the GML platform.

  • integration of new/archived EO data in the interactive maps in the GML platform.
